Aaand, Awaaay We Go!
You've made it through the bullying of middle school and and you've survived the social cliques and awkwardness of high school (maybe with the help of someone like Tiny Rick) - you've graduated and now what? ADULTING! College, work, relationships, establishing or fixing your credit, moving out, mortgages or rent, buying things - why worry about that when there's so much fun stuff to do?! Because if you don't, you just may end up like Matt Foley from SNL living in a van down by the river. So what do you need now? A place to learn the framework of life.
But Nobody Told Me!
Take a deep breath! Nobody has all the answers. Take a look around. Most adults haven't figured it out and they're faking it. Life is truly a journey and most everything is there to teach us something about it and ourselves. As you're rolling down the bowling-lane-of-life, think of this site as the bumpers that are there to guide you away from the gutters so you can enjoy all the fun stuff. This website, blog, & vlog, is meant to be a guide for my children - now ages 18 & 21. All the things I didn't get a chance to teach them because of time. The goal? How to have Money, Time, & Family in equal amounts at the same time as much as possible.
Why Us?
What's better than a mentor that started out middle class, built a successful 6-figure career in software, traveled the world, had stock options, traded commodities, built another business with a phenomenal reputation, & lived debt-free? Oh, you'd probably want one that crashed and burned too, went through a divorce, house fire, lost a loved one (not in the fire), worked retail, re-established credit from nothing later in life (after so many years your credit history fades if you don't use it), tried to blend a family, drove a car until it had over 231,000 miles on it, been a single dad that walked the fine line between Disney Dad and laying down the law. In other-words, a well-rounded life experience but by no means is perfect - that's why. So dive right in, the journey is better when you are awake & aware!
